Horses & Zebra Escape From Circus, Run ‘Happily’ In Paris Streets Amidst Lockdown

The lockdown may have been difficult for us humans but animals sure are having a gala time! From peacocks roaming around in Mumbai streets to monkeys enjoying a pool party, the pandemic has shown us how beautiful the world would be if humans and animals coexisted peacefully.

Speaking of which, horses and a zebra were spotted running in the streets of Paris at night. According to a report by NDTV, the animals escaped from a circus after the gate of their enclosure was left open.

The owner of the circus claimed that the zebra and the horses were tamed and didn’t go far from the circus. They were just roaming in the neighbourhood. After 15 minutes, they were brought back to the circus.

According to The Indian Express, videos of the animals running happily in the street went viral on the internet. Have a look:

Many took to the comment section to write how the video reminds them of films like ‘Madagascar’ and ‘Jumanji’. Some, however, believed that nature is reclaiming its space.

So many of us are bickering about the lockdown extension and having to stay indoors against our will. Imagine the plight of the animals who spend their lives locked in a cage in zoos and circuses. Maybe after the pandemic, humans can reevaluate how we have been treating animals and become more empathetic towards them. 🙂
