Flirting is something not everyone is comfortable with, irrespective of their gender. While some cover the playful expression of their affection towards someone in the name of ‘healthy flirting’, others brush it under the carpet by laughing it out. The popular phrase ‘Men Will Be Men’ is often quoted when men become too frank with women.
Recently, a popular MUA from Delhi, Leena Bhushan, shared a video wherein she was doing makeup touches for a groom.
In the video, one can see the makeup artist doing her magic on the groom seated on a chair while his wife-to-be stands next to him. As Leena dabs the beauty sponge on his face to blend his foundation, the groom leans back, closes his eyes, and flirtingly says to the makeup artist something along the lines of ‘haye mai behosh ho jaunga’ (I might faint).
On hearing so, the makeup artist breaks into laughter and tells the bride, “Dekh lo bhai, sambhaal lo.” To this, the bride responds, “Isme mai kuch nhi kar sakti.”
Captioning the video, the MUA wrote, “This Groom refused to leave the studio without the makeup touch up (by) me.” She also wrote in the video, “That’s why I don’t do makeup for grooms.”

On watching the video, people had diverse opinions about it. While some thought that it was insulting to the bride, others criticized the artist for giggling at his comment and not being professional.
IMO, as long as the bride and the MUA are comfortable with him not crossing the line and being harmless and funny, I don’t see a problem here. What do you have to say about this?
