We all know by now that ‘privacy’ in today’s day and age is a mere illusion. There are spy agencies across the globe monitoring your every move through your own electronics. Companies are collecting all kinds of data about you through your internet searches, website history and even your status updates. However, we recently uncovered something even scarier.
It turns out, Google has been recording and storing anything and everything that you’ve ever said around it, including voice notes, search queries and conversations. In fact, you can access all your own recordings via this link.
Of course, through the link, you could always delete whatever has been stored but it begs the question, why store it all in the first place?!
This personal recordings portal was introduced back in 2015. So you’ll probably have a lot of stuff in there, especially if you’ve been using an android phone which wakes up with “Ok, Google”.
What’s more, they’ve even got a proper activity log of everything you’ve ever done on a Google product (that includes all your YouTube video viewings).
This makes me recollect a very interesting quote I once heard:
“If you are not paying for it, you’re not the customer; you’re the product being sold.”
