If you are a guy with an Internet connection, you have been on one of the million escort/call girl websites online. Not because you wanted to sleep with one, but just to satisfy your curiosity and maybe chat with one of them for free.

‘Girls of Paradise’ is one of the escort websites on the Internet. The girls are attractive in their skimpy clothes. You can see how old the prostitute is, and even know when she menstruates!

Very thorough.

 

Then comes the twist. When you open a chat window with the call girl, the chat starts fine until you see photos of her battered face and how she was killed by a client because he was violent.

You click on the other women, their stories are the same.

 

Because all the prostitutes on ‘Girls of Paradise’ are dead.

You are actually looking at prostitutes who were exploited for their skin and then left to die by their pimps and clients.
Some call girls were beaten so badly by the clients their face is unrecognisable.

Some call girls were kidnapped when they were just 15 and then forced into prostitution and they committed suicide by jumping out of the window.

Some call girls were hacked to death with a knife.

 

And all the call girls on the site are or were 100% REAL. All their stories are real. The pictures you see on the site are of women who once lived but now do not because of their profession.

The website was created by the French NGO Mouvement du Nid and advertising agency McCann Paris. Their objective is to create an awareness about prostitution and what it does to the women in the profession.

 

The experiment produced many interesting results –

Many website users expressed shock.

Then they go into self-defense mode saying that they only wanted a girl for the night.

When they realise that the woman they want to sleep with is dead and they are talking to an NGO representative, they ask “Is someone else available?”.

 

The website created such a change in France that the country made it illegal to pay for sex and made clients responsible for their deaths.

Most of the prostitutes are forced into the profession and once they are in it, it is almost impossible to leave.

Many of them contacted the French NGO. One of the many things they said was that their profession was so lowly that once they died, they would never be remembered.
