Milk Company Mentions ‘Founded By IIM Alumni’ On Packaging, Sparks Debate Online

You might have seen lots of weird marketing gimmicks online. But have you ever seen a product mentioning its founder’s alma mater on the product?

Well, a picture of a milk packet highlighting ‘founded by IIM Alumni’ has been doing rounds on the internet which has gathered a lot of reactions online.

Taking to Twitter, a user Namanbir Singh asked, “What’s the point of writing your college name on a milk packet?” He also went on to clarify:

People were quick to react to the image alleging that the owner wants to sell the product using his college degree as its USP and a marketing tag.

Some also supported the move.

Many highlighted how the founder of this milk company was feeding the insecurities of us Indians who are obsessed with IIM and IITs. It comes out as if the owner intends to say that if a kid drinks this milk, he’ll get into IIM. What do you think?
