With the North-east region of India in extreme turmoil in recent times, and unfortunate events befalling them, there is finally a glimmer of hope that gives us a reason to celebrate a proud moment in the country’s history.
Meet Roveinai Poumai, who has made all of North-east India proud by becoming the First Naga Lady Pilot. She hails from the Poumai-Naga tribe in Manipur and is the first girl to have obtained a pilot’s license in her community.
She has managed to break the shackles of the prevalent patriarchal dominance in the society and has forever etched her mark in history. Her achievement will pave the way for the dreams of many more young girls and also inspire parents to allow their children to explore themselves.
She is the daughter of Purul Rosofil, Sanapati district. She is currently employed with Jet Airways after she graduated from Basiar Aviation College in New South Wales, Australia.
Roveinai is an asset for the country and people from all over the country are gushing with pride, congratulating her on her venture.
