Drunk Student Gets Stuck Inside Washing Machine After She Was Dared By Friends

We have come across many stories of intoxicated people doing things they would surely regret later. For instance, a Karnataka man ran over a snake with his bike and bit the reptile to death for blocking his way, or when another drunk man with neither a license nor insurance drove his car with one tire missing.

As per a report in The Indian Express, a 21-year old British university student named Rosie Cole was dared to get inside the tumble dryer by her housemates after they’d all had a few drinks of wine and tequila. But unfortunately, she got stuck inside the dryer, and firefighters were called to rescue her and pull her out. Both Rosie and her friend Lydia Dunwell shared the video clips on social media, which soon went viral. Check it out:

The bizarre incident happened in the students’ shared accommodation when Rosie’s friends thought that there was “no chance” she would fit inside the machine. But as she wriggled her way in through the door while being in an inebriated state, she ultimately got stuck. She said, “I am a bit dramatic so I didn’t think it was that bad at first, and my housemates were making me laugh, but when I realized that I couldn’t uncross my legs and my hips were stuck I got a bit worried,” reports Daily Star.

After trying to escape out of the dryer, the machine tipped forward and her housemates tried to pull her out. She explained, “My housemates tried pulling me out, but they couldn’t, so we didn’t know what else to do other than to call the fire service.” To add to the hilarity, Rosie reportedly said that since the emergency services “save cats from trees” so they might “save students from tumble dryers” as well, as per Wales Online. A distress call was then made to the Humberside Fire & Rescue Service at roughly 11 PM.

Her friend Lydia told the Daily Mail, “When they rang emergency services and told them someone got stuck in a dryer the person on the phone asked how old they were. It was so embarrassing – they had to tell her it was a grown 21-year-old woman. I was just in stitches.”

The video footage shows three firemen attempting to pull her out. The student was finally released uninjured from the machine 20 minutes. She is seen happily cheering as well.

Talking about the firemen’s reaction to the scene, Rosie said, “‘They were lovely and they just laughed at me. When they were leaving they opened the washing machine and asked if anyone else needed saving. They gave us a fire safety brief and asked if we knew what to do if there was a fire. I remember learning stop drop and roll but I don’t know how relevant that is when you’re inside a dryer.”

We hope the kids have learned their lesson, and not attempt to carry out such dares moving forward. What do you think? Tell us!
