Heroic Dog Bites Rapists To Save 14-Year-Old Girl In Madhya Pradesh

If you are looking for loyalty, you better pet a dog. These four-legged creatures are probably the only living beings on the planet, to love you more than it loves itself. And if you are finding it difficult to trust me, here is a story that will drive my point home.

According to the Free Press Journal, a 14-year-old girl in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, went out at night to bring fodder to create smoke for keeping mosquitoes at bay. On stepping outside her home, two men took control of her and took her to a deserted hut nearby, at knife-point. According to Motinagar police station in-charge Vipin Tamrakar, the two of them went onto allegedly raping her at the place.

The two guilty, have been identified as Aishu Ahirwar (39) and Punit Ahirwar (24).

The girl shouted at the top of her voice to get some much-needed help. It was none other than her pet dog who came to the aid of the little girl on hearing her cry. The dog bit Aishu on his leg and continued to bark. Though the accused attacked it with the knife, it did not stop barking. The distraction allowed the victim to free herself and run towards her home.

Alerted by the loud barking of the dog, people from nearby houses rushed towards the hut which forced the two men to flee.

For what is good news, both men have been arrested after the victim’s family had filed a complaint on Saturday. They were booked with charges of rape and abduction under relevant sections of the IPC and also under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

And hence, not all heroes wear capes, some of them come with four legs and paws.
