The Broken Plane From “Gerua” Has Been Found. And SRK Fans Are Going Batshit Crazy!

Remember the beautiful set from the song ‘Gerua’ from Dilwale? Of course, you do. People have gone batshit crazy over the song (that is pretty average even for SRK-Kajol standards. I mean come on man, Suraj Hua Maddham was waaaay better), and the super scenic locations where the song was shot, some even assuming that the sets weren’t real.

But amidst all this Suits actor, Patrick J. Adams has made the biggest discovery of 2016. He clicked a picture for his Instagram of a broken plane, and it looked eerily similar to the plane in ‘Gerua’, except…

….IT WAS! It was the plane from the song in Dilwale. (I’m sure it will be called the Gerua Plane from now onwards)

And for obvious reasons, SRK-Kajol fans went crazy over it with their sudden realizations that IT WAS actually from the song.

Look at all the love.

And some were jolted back to reality when they realized that it wasn’t green screen magic in Gerua. Their happiness knew no bounds.

So Rohit Shetty actually made a lot of effort for this song.

The place that is in Iceland, was added to many people’s travel bucket list and some even checked it on as options for their honeymoon.

It is actually a pretty scenic place. No wonder the King of romance shot his song there.

But the fact is that, this plane has history. It is eerily scenic, but on Nov 24th 1973, a US Navy plane (C-47 SkyTrain also known as “Dakota”) was forced to land at the Sólheimasandur’s black sandy beach in the south of Iceland. And although the crew survived, they decided to leave the wreckage of the plane behind….

…which was a good thing.

Because how else would they have shot ‘Gerua’ and made it beautiful enough for people to love it this much?
