Brave Delhi Woman Bashes A Creep Herself After Cops Fail To Show Despite Repeated Calls

As a society, we’re expected to evolve with the times and make the world a better and safer place. But going by the rise in crime and absolutely barbarity that’s happening in our country, we’re certainly on the path of devolution. We’ve seen celebrities and activists come out in droves to demand safety for women but a Delhi woman’s experience with a molester shows that nothing has changed. What’s worse is that she didn’t get any help from the law.

According to DNA, a 23-year-old woman was allegedly harassed outside New Delhi Railway Station on Thursday. She recounted the details on her social media page saying,

“At around 6:30 pm today i was standing outside New Delhi Metro station looking for a rikshaw till paharganj, where a drunk rikshaw wala came running after me forcing me to go with him, i refused and kept walking until he came rushing and grabbed my hand and said ‘ab to tu mere hi saath chalegi.'”

As soon as the rikshaw puller got physical, the woman took a stand and smashed a water bottle in his face. She said that despite being jolted by the experience, she found the strength to take that action.

While her swift and bold action incapacitated her harasser, something worse came to light when she brought the rikshaw puller to the nearby police station.

“I Slapped him hard and dragged him to the POLICE POST right in front of gate number 1 of New Delhi Metro station. There was not a single Cop present inside.”

Considering how the woman’s phone was discharged, some people came to her aid so that she can call the police who should’ve been in the station in the first place.

The woman kept calling the police every 15 minutes but the police kept saying that they’re sending someone within 5 minutes. However, nobody actually showed up.

“I kept waiting for half an hour until that asshole shamelessly sitting there said- ‘Madam maaf karo aur chali jaao, koi nahi aane wala’. meanwhile people who gathered around were recording the whole thing and kept him from escaping anywhere.”

After patiently waiting for nearly 45 minutes, she took things into her own hand. She marched into the police station, grabbed a stick that was lying around and thrashed the accused.

As this courageous Delhite’s post went viral, the Delhi Police took notice and reached out to her. They suspended the two officers who didn’t respond to her on time and even took strict action against the abuser. However, since justice came so late, maybe it’s time for the Delhi Police to recruit responsible policemen who’re actually ready to fight crime.
