Every year, we wait for the rains to save us from the harsh summer and its heat. You may love the monsoon or hate it; but all it takes is one solid spell of rain for it feel a little too much. Soon there’s water, water everywhere, not a single dry road to drive on. Even the best of city transport is left helpless when there is extensive water-logging.
This past week, Delhi has been receiving heavy downpour.
I so wanted to go to college today and attend all the lectures like the good girl that I am but it started raining heavily so I couldn't go. #DelhiRains pic.twitter.com/adMkuKQcR9

Never drove with wipers running at full speed. Despite ankle deep water and crazy traffic jam, I love driving in the rains! That's the love-hate relationship I share with the season… 🙂 🙃#DelhiRains pic.twitter.com/EEdVbrUqIK

According to the forecast, the ‘rain rain’ has no intention of going away anytime soon. And amidst the water-logging, Delhi has taken a breath of fresh air in a long time as the Air Quality Index (AQI) was 76 on Tuesday.
Let’s hope that the life in Delhi comes back to its normal pace soon.
