Hit and Run.

Makes us question humanity. 31 year old, Sidharth Sharma’s family is probably in this very frame of mind. A son, a marketing head, a student pursuing a professional degree from a reputed college, a cautious citizen, Sidharth, was killed in a hit and run incident on Monday at Sham Nath Marg in North Delhi.

His friend dropped him off at Ludlow Castle School at 8:55pm.

He walked ahead ready to cross the road. He did what any of us would have done, he looked at both ends of the road and began to walk ahead. He was halfway across before he noticed the Mercedes start to catch speed.

He started to run seeing the Mercedes fast approaching, then realized he couldn’t get to the other end of the road in time, so he tried to retreat.

But sadly he couldn’t retreat in time. The mercedes didn’t seem to slow down.

The impact of the accident was so intense that Sidharth Sharma was flung 15 meters away.

He was taken to the hospital but sadly he succumbed to his injuries on arrival.

The car belonged to Manoj Agarwal, a businessman by profession, it was driven by his 17 year old son.

While the Mercedes was abandoned after a tyre burst, due to the impact of the accident, the minors inside the car fled the scene. Since the accused is a minor, he was bailed out, but his father was booked under Motor Vehicles Act.

So far the accused’s family has tried to bury the whole incident but the victim’s family recently released this video to the Delhi Police, seeking justice.

And we hope that they get the justice they seek
