Cristiano Ronaldo Tried To Troll Messi’s Iconic Shirtless Move And It Backfired Badly!

Sports rivalries are not a new thing. And especially when it comes to football, you know that one just doesn’t mess with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Remember Lionel Messi’s iconic celebratory move, when Barcelona beat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu? Messi removed his shirt and held it to all his fans.

Chills ran through the spine of every Barcelona fan and try as hard as you might, there’s no way that image is getting out of our heads.

Cristiano Ronaldo in the first leg of his game last night in the Spanish Super Cup at Nou Camp, scored a spectacular goal, giving the team a lead of 2-1. Imitating/mocking Messi’s move, he removed his shirt and held it for his home crowd.

It proved disastrous as he received two yellow cards for the game. One for removing his shirt and the other for an alleged dive in the box just two minutes later.

But it did not end here, as Ronaldo was not happy with the referee’s decision, he went on to push him in anger. He was then given his final warning, the red card.

Ronaldo missed the second leg of the match and he might as well have to face certain consequences for his actions.

Well, you reap as you sow. While Messi was also shown a yellow card for removing his shirt on the ground, those goosebumps that the spur of the moment gave us, will always be remembered.

Ronaldo’s feat is incredible and now fans are divided. So, who do you think did it better?
