Circuses are synonymous with acrobats performing entertaining stunts and animals wowing the audiences with amazing feats. But over the years, circuses have been mired in controversy over the treatment of animals in their show. Many instances have come to light of organisers mistreating and even abusing the poor creatures for the purpose of profit.
But, a German circus named ‘Circus Roncalli’ has successfully put a modern and mesmerising twist to its show by replacing real animals with 3D holograms. Check it out.
The circus makes use of state of the art Optoma ZU850 projectors for its holographic footage and magical light show. Everyone who sees the new cruelty-free act is thoroughly impressed and gives it a thumbs up. Some people are even calling it the future of the industry.
Here is what netizens think of the holographic elephants, horses and fish!

Circus Roncalli was established in 1976 and began phasing out its animal performers way back in the 90s. With the new holographic act, they’re leading by example and we hope that more circuses follow their footsteps in the future.
If you could choose the animal being showcased through holograms, which one would you pick? A lion, a penguin or a mighty dragon?
