Chinese Makeup Blogger Transforms Herself Into Mona Lisa, Takes The Internet By Storm

Mona Lisa, an oil painting by Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci, is undoubtedly the most famous painting this world has ever seen. The masterpiece created on a poplar wood panel sometime between 1503 to 1509 in Florence, remains the most written about and parodied piece of art in the history.

While the painting has been recreated countless times by several artists as a mark of tribute to the original, here we have a kind, never tried before. And guess what? It is doing miracles on the internet.

27-year-old He Yuya, a Chinese make-up blogger, transformed herself into Vinci’s Mona Lisa and uploaded the video on Chinese Video App MiaoPai. She decided to give it a shot after her social media followers challenged her to create a life-like Mona Lisa, as a joke.

According to Daily China, it took nearly 6 hours for Yuya to complete the look.

Yuya’s transformation turned out to be inch perfect with the blogger pulling off identical facial features and shadows using only makeup only!

The video collected a staggering 800,000+ views on the MiaoPai and over 20 million on Dou Yin.

Speaking about the same, a jubilant He Yuya said,

“I appreciate all the support I’ve received and I’m so happy that viewers like the transformation.”

Now that’s what we call genius. Isn’t it?
