Many parts of India like Kerala, Karnataka, Odisha and Maharashtra are facing the aftereffects of heavy rainfall i.e. floods. According to NDTV, 88 people have lost their lives in various affected regions of Kerala (Malappuram and Wayanad). Shivamogga is the worst-hit area of Karnataka and Kolhapur of Maharashtra. In Odisha, train services have been halted due to overflowing floodwaters. Which is why IAF and the army have been called in to spearhead rescue operations and bring stranded residents to safety.
In Gaonbagh, Maharashtra, an army officer part of the relief efforts was greeted by a young child with “aap bahut accha kaam karte ho” and a heartfelt salute. The officer shook the child’s hand in a video shared on Twitter.

The heartwarming gesture was liked over 30,000 times by netizens and everyone lauded the dedication of the army personnel in rescuing people from flood-hit areas. We have seen it in action like when IAF Flight Lieutenant Karan Deshmukh saved an elderly lady in Navsari.
People also showered praise on the child for voicing such a sweet though in such a respectful manner. Check it out.
