Indian Teen Who Thinks Her Dad Is Cheating On Mom Gets Heartwarming Advice Online

Many of us have idolised our parents while growing up. Our dads are our heroes and our moms are like angels. Believing so, we often forget that they are human too – they too have their own virtues and vices.

For example, a 17-year-old girl recently took to Reddit to reveal that her dad might be cheating on her mother. She claimed that she saw her father text another woman in a romantic way.

“I was standing behind my dad when he was watching TV and he didn’t notice me. He was texting what seemed to be a woman and calling her babe and asking her if she was angry with him. It just didn’t seem like the texts you would send a female friend.”

She went on to add, “I did take a video of it and showed it to my mom, she pushed it aside and told me that he was just having his fun and all men are like that.”

She further claimed to feel that her father thinks her mother is inferior to him and that he “resents” her.

“I feel as though because I wasn’t the perfect daughter he must have done it,” she said.

A few others suggested working hard on her studies and building a career so that she can move out ASAP.

After the girl expressed feeling responsible for her father’s behavior, many made her understand that it isn’t her fault.

Some also said that perhaps her mother is financially dependent on her father, which is why she brushed the topic under the rug.

It is easy to blame yourself for someone else’s doing. But we need to let go of the things that are out of our control and focus on what is. Don’t you think?
