More and more women have gained financial independence in present times and are working shoulder-to-shoulder with their husbands. This also means that Dads, nowadays, have evolved from being just breadwinners and have shunned norms to be an active part of their child’s life. Fathers do not shy away from taking equal responsibility for the child’s nurturing, not because they have to, but because they want to. They will change their baby’s diapers in the middle of the night and even make a scrumptious lunch for their little ones.
We didn’t know what to call these ‘do it all dads’ until Flipkart came up with the term ‘Penguin Dad’. Think that’s weird? Let me be the one to tell you, absolutely not. Penguins share the nurturing of the child equally with their spouses and are as adorable as these dads!
Indian dads have upped the ante where they are juggling office work on one hand and playing catch with the little one, on the other. This short film by Flipkart is a tribute to ‘Penguin Dads’ who devote their time to their kids and it’ll make you tear up.
The film is directed by award-winning director Ashwiny Iyer Tewari who has lent her genius to commendable movies like Nil Battey Sannata. #PenguinDad will warm your heart and make you see all the little things that our Papas do for us but it’s sometimes not so obvious. Guess that’s dads for you!

We have seen this earnestness in a lot of celebrity dads as well, which makes us really proud because the platform they have, allows them to inspire others to take equal share from their spouses. Take a look at these dads, we guarantee you’ll not regret it!

The Badshah of Bollywood is the Badshah of taking care of his children as well. His Instagram is filled with him doting over his three kids, Aryan, Suhana and AbRam. Also, who can forget the spitting match between him and AbRam? Or the way he gets all sad about his kids leaving for boarding school? As if we needed more reasons to love this man!
3. Hrithik Roshan:
Along with being a dedicated actor and an awesome dancer, Hrithik Roshan is every bit of the doting dad to his two boys. He often uploads pictures to his social media where he is seen making the most of his time with the two junior Roshans. From exercising together, cooking together and making a little snowman, it does look like the kids have a ball with their dad.
4. Tusshar Kapoor:
Tusshar Kapoor is all set to win life with his cute little munchkin, Laksshya. The actor has been a single father for quite a while now and is acing the game if I say so myself. You know how we know? His little boy’s laughter in the presence of his dad, speaks for itself.

Most people know Ronaldo as a player who has done his country proud many times, however, few know him as the doting father he really is. Not only that, Ronaldo Jr is all set to follow in his father’s footsteps under his watchful eyes. We can’t wait to see him cheering for the little one from the stands!

For anybody who needs pro-tips on how to deal with teenagers, The Rock is the person you want to call. Remember how he kept commenting on his daughter’s Instagram pictures asking her about the kind of pancakes she would like to have? Yup, the man knows it all!
7. Akshay Kumar:
The Khiladi Kumar makes parenting look like child’s play as he spends ample time bonding with his kids despite his busy schedule. His protective attitude towards his children as he trains them to fight bad guys and laughs when they try to stay away from the paps are sweet AF!
8. Karan Johar:
A newbie to the parenting, Karan Johar is pretty hands-on with his twins Ruhi and Yash. He is certainly breaking stereotypes just like Tusshar Kapoor and setting new precedents for men who just want a little bundle of joy in their life.
9. Arjun Rampal:
Remember how I said The Rock is the man to call for some parenting tips, turns out he has a pretty strong competition in Arjun Rampal who is not only a doting father but a friend to his two daughters Myra and Mahikaa. This reminds me so much of my dad, and now I feel like crying. Thanks, Arjun! No, but seriously, you da man.
10. Ricky Martin:
The world grooved to Ricky Martin’s ‘Un Ds Tres’ song and he has been in our hearts ever since. Very few people know that he’s an amazing father to his two kids who are too adorable for words. His active involvement in the lives of his kids is also a great example for people who want to do the same.
Don’t you just feel like calling up your Papa and telling him how much you miss him getting you ready for school in the morning, or the way he helped with your History homework? I know I do!
