Life is never boring if you’re a cat owner. The furry creatures are soft and squishy, their meow-ing makes your world go round and pictures with them are guaranteed to get you likes on social media 😛 Also, each and every cat has a unique personality. They’re smart enough to unlock doors on their own and will also help you if you’re locked out.
But Twitter user @stluis_htx recently found out that his cat was being a little too affectionate with him. It all started when he had problems breathing properly while sleeping. So, he installed a camera in his room to get to the bottom of the mystery.

The next morning, he found out that it was because his cat was cutely sleeping on his face, restricting his breathing in the process! The hilarious tweet was so relatable for pet owners that it quickly accumulated 1.4 million likes and 372,000 retweets. Remember the popular cat led world domination theory? This tweet sparked a similar theory where people began to jokingly speculate that the furball was trying to kill its owner.
Some netizens quipped that the pet was trying to suffocate the man while others revealed that they were in the same boat. They shared pictures of their cats sleeping on their faces too! Have a look.
Looks like your cat may be trying to stop you from snoring 🤣
