British Special Forces resorted to a new way to tackle ISIS. And don’t worry, they didn’t choose a path of violence.
In fact, Bollywood jumped to the rescue. The British Special Forces ‘freaked out’ ISIS by playing Bollywood music.
This strategy is called Psychological Warfare and it’s done to evoke a certain kind of reaction from the enemies and it results in destroying their morale.
But, you may have a question that out of all the methods, why only Bollywood music?
Well, ISIS considers this music to be un-Islamic.
This idea was implemented because of a Pakistani-born Army intelligent officer who claimed that Bollywood music annoys ISIS.
Ultra-conservative parts of Pakistan have put a ban on Bollywood music, owing to its apparent frivolous content.
The British Special forces are training troops to throw out ISIS from Sirte (a city in Libya) and the 115-long stretch of Libyan coastline.
Since Bollywood music or anything western is banned inside Sirte, the troops left two cars at the checkpoint and played Bollywood’s top chart busters on its huge speakers. The psychological team had intercepted insurgent’s communication.
A senior source revealed this:
Well, we cannot comment on which song was played, because it’s not known!
Was it Chikni Chameli or Munni Badnaam Hui? Not sure. But, it must have created a lot of hungama, that’s for sure
Oh Bollywood! Who knew you could be put to this use?! 😀
