Entrepreneur Says Gurgaon Is Much Better For Start-ups & Living Than Bengaluru, Sparks Debate

Gurugram and Bengaluru are among those cities in the country that house the offices of several start-ups and conglomerates. These cities also see a large footfall every year, especially of working professionals in the IT sector. And this is why one might be torn between getting a job and settling in Gurugram or Bengaluru.

An Indian entrepreneur named Kunwar Raj, who lives in Gurugram recently took to LinkedIn to reason why he feels Gurgaon is much better for startups or living in general.

In his post comparing Gurugram with Bengaluru, he wrote that the airport is 20 minutes away, the traffic is manageable and metro has better connectivity.

“No Offence to the people in Bangalore but I’ve been saying since a loooong time Gurgaon is much better for startups or living in general 👇

1. Airport is 20 minutes away.

2. You can book cabs much much more easily.

3. There’s a balance of opinions- not everyone talks about startups.

4. Traffic is very manageable if you live in Gurgaon. If you’re travelling from Delhi then it’s bad during office hours. But not as bad as Bangalore.

5. Metro connectivity is much better.

6. I feel housing and societies are also much better.

7. Rains…okay let’s not talk about that right now.

You can add to the list in the comments or tell me why Bangalore is better. Either way, I’m not moving.”

And as soon as his post went up, people from Bengaluru started weighing their opinions in the comments section. Several arguments were backed with proper reasoning as to why they think their city is the best.

Earlier, desis also debated whether tier-2 cities are more liveable than tier-1 cities. IMO, every city has its pros and cons and it’s completely up to an individual how they look at them and adjust to it. Which one’s your fav?
