Kudos To These Guys Who Are On A Mission To Rescue Dogs From Flood-Hit Chennai

Chennai’s incessant rains caused havoc on a colossal scale. But the city witnessed many samaritans during this situation – the bus driver, Ram Kashyap, and Chennaites themselves! But there is an organisation that also paid heed to the condition of the dogs, who were equally affected by the torrential downpour.

“Hostel for Dogs”, a boarding house for dogs based in Chennai, provided shelter to the canines. The dogs were shifted to their Bangalore facility.

The organisation started getting distress calls from dog owners, who wanted to make sure their pets are safe. As they couldn’t board the dogs in Chennai, they made ample arrangements to shift the dogs to their Bangalore facility.

The dogs would be brought back after the grave situation in the city subsides.

Here’s their overwhelming Facebook message:

Shravan Krishnan started this idea of Hostel For Dogs. He’s an alumnus of Loyola College, Chennai.

Isn’t this wonderful? How often do we see people going out of their way to help animals? With acts like these, I have my faith restored in humanity.

Great job, team! Keep up the good work.
