In a world that urges young girls to continuously try to be someone they are not, comparing them with heavily made up photo-shopped models, this dad took a different road. In order to help his 5 year old daughter Lily build her ‘confidence and sense of self-worth’, Brooklyn based photographer Marc Bushelle decided to teach her about the important women figures from history. But even there he took a different approach.
Inspired by another photographer who did something similar, he decided to do a photo series, with his daughter dressed as some of the most influential women in the world from past and contemporary history.
Take a look at the inspiring photo series, aptly named as “The Heroines Project”, by Marc Bushelle, starring his daughter Lily.
