Media in all its glory can be ruthless at times! Especially to public figures (Lady Diana died due to paparazzi). From prying into personal lives to fanning conjecture into wildfires, the media can be categorically cruel and unabashed when it comes to hiking ‘the numbers’.
However, the sham often goes beyond the TRP game of sensationalisation and borders dehumanisation!
The latest victim was Arjun Kapoor. The actor recently took to Twitter to express his angst towards a Hindi daily that carried a piece about his deceased mother in a very bad light!
I don't normally react to what's written about me but for a man who's lost his mother I find this headline highly distasteful & insensitive. pic.twitter.com/s3vq9F7PuM

It wasn’t long before friends from the industry called out the newspaper for their unprofessional standards and extended their support to Arjun.
1. Enough said!
This is absolutely infuriating. These insensitive idiots have no heart. Stay strong brother. @arjunk26

2. Sad is an understatement!
yuk, what the fu*k? Why are such people even allowed to write on a public medium. This is just so sad.

Fans and followers also turned in to criticise the paper for trivialising Arjun’s mother’s death.
3. Legit!

5. It’s high time that happened!
Agree with you totally.Amidst the race of finding headlines, sensitivity & humanity is totally lost. Journalism needs reforms now.

10. No two ways about it!
It does take the prize for cruel and insensitive writing.

I hope friends from the fraternity that call themselves journalists are taking note. Please stop dishing out personal comments as news. For the sake of journalism, now!
