Amrita Puri’s Bridal Look’s Making Us Go, ‘Shaadi Karungi Toh Amrita Wala Lehenga Pehenke!’

Amrita-Puri-Bridal-Look

As Christmas approaches, Indian wedding season takes a holiday break too. I mean, after some wedding fun, who doesn’t like to embrace the festivities? 😛

In 2017, we seen some of the dreamiest weddings that spoke to the inner Geet in us, who wanted to marry the next potential guy. ? Good Lord, that didn’t happen! But we learnt a thing or two (or more) fashion-wise.

Like, bridal look! Oh, come on, that’s the first thing you see when you look at someone’s wedding pictures. Guilty!

So, amid so many pretty, pretty brides, we simply adored one’s look to the core. No, not Anushka Sharma!

Though, of course, she looked like a Goddess in that Sabyasachi ensemble and us mortal beings can’t even think of looking like her.

It’s Amrita Puri.

Yes, the Aisha gurl, got hitched to bae Imrun Sethi earlier this month. Her wedding lehenga from the house of Mr. Mukherjee is the perfect mix of traditionality and comfort.

Amrita @amupuri was going to have a destination wedding. Outdoorsy, with lot of sunshine and fresh flowers. She wanted to wear something fragrant, light yet glamourous. She loved The Udaipur Collection but wanted something special. I had a Persian document that had been fascinating me for quite a while. So we sat down on the drawing board and translated the document into a wedding lehenga panel. Hundred and eleven colours of silk thread in vintage Persian shades were used to create a decorative base and embellished with bugle beads, hand-cut sequins, crystals and pearls. The wedding looked nothing short of a fairy tale and may we say the lehenga looked absolutely gorgeous on her. @bridesofsabyasachi Image Courtesy: @rambalmur #Sabyasachi #TheWorldOfSabyasachi

Look at the exquisite work. ? But, trust me, it’s the colour that’s winning here.
