Every Indian knows about the responsibilities of a politician. They should represent the general public of a state or the country and solve any and every issue they face. However, as time has passed, people have begun to realise that these politicians are more concerned about addressing their personal needs rather than that of the citizens who voted him/her to power.
So, when Akhilesh Yadav tried to be relatable by saying that he was looking for a flat in Lucknow, after he was ordered to vacate his Govt. residential bungalow, he got called out by Twitter. As everyone knows about his lavish campaigns during the UP elections and his brother’s expensive Lamborghini, they uninhibitedly reminded Yadav about that and thereby exposed his hypocrisy.
Here are some of the best suggestions and reactions:
1. Why didn’t he think of that?
@yadavakhilesh Please use @99acresIndia Or @magicbricks And get flat on rent without hassles

Politicians are supposed to look out for what people need and function at their level. However, ministers like Akhilesh have shown no such restraint in that aspect and have openly flaunted their wealth. So it’s too late to expect sympathy from them now. Additionally, what seems to have angered the Twitterverse is that he’s using this excuse to not vacate his residence for 2 years. Come on, we had better excuses in grade school.
