In the past, people in dilemma turned to social media to seek advice from those who have dealt with a similar situation as theirs. Earlier, people shared their trusted formulas to help a Reddit user make office life less stressful. A couple of sons also shared valuable lessons they learned from their dads.
Now, desis online are giving their two cents to an 18-year-old college student who has decided to run away from home without anyone’s knowledge.
Taking to Reddit, the user wrote that they belong to the LGBTQ+ community and is a pre-HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) trans-MtF (male to female) bisexual. And since their family is homophobic and transphobic, the student decided to run away from their home in Mumbai. The post read:
Towards the end, the person asked people online if they have a place where they can stay for a few weeks. Looking at the person’s vulnerability, people online gave them this advice.
Many said how living alone without financial stability would be a difficult task for him.
Stay away from home, don’t run away.
Even though a majority of people (and those wearing the same shoes) suggested the person from doing otherwise, it’s only their decision to make owing to the fact that only they know the pain of what they are going through that compelled them to take such a step in the first place.
Running away without a plan could be a disaster.
