After becoming the first Indian to play in the English Premier League, Aditi Chauhan has taken the UK Football by storm.
Aditi Chauhan became the first Indian woman in the history of India to win the Woman In Football Award at the third Asian Football Awards in London.
She arrived in London two years ago to pursue her Masters in Sports Management in Loughborough University and originally hails from Delhi.
“This award is all worth it. Getting this award at Wembley is a fairytale, especially for someone who comes from a country that has no league for women. It was not easy to pursue a career in football. I am thankful to West Ham and my family for all the support,” she said.
Supported by the English Football Association (FA) and the Asian Football Project, these awards recognise the achievements of British Asians in Football.
Aditi says that she will not stop playing football in the UK despite of some visa issues. She is very happy about her remarkable achievement.
