Gone are the days when women were sexually harassed at their homes, or when venturing outside, in the presence of people. Now, women are harassed even when they’re cooped up in their blankets, alone. Cases of online harassment have increased manifold in the past years equally impacting one’s mental health and sanity.
However, there are some sensible beings in society who aren’t yet ready to bow down to these hate-mongers and trolls.
Comedian and content creator Aanchal Agrawal was a recent victim of online harassment. Taking to her Twitter account, Agrawal shared about the harassment incident she faced.

Reading about the ordeal makes us disgusted to the core. But among the many people who read her story and scrolled further, there was someone who took her case to cybercrime.
Sharing screenshots of their communication, she wrote that a man on Instagram sent her a masturbating video.
A short story-
Guy sent a masturbating video.
I got angry and put it on my IG.
A follower sent it to Indian Cyber Cell.
They messaged. He immediately apologised to them, they forwarded to me.
I asked them for a video apology. Guy wore a mask for it, but the message is delivered. pic.twitter.com/aMiLWdsyq0— Aanchal Agrawal (@awwwnchal) December 7, 2021
Irked by this nuisance, she posted it on her Instagram profile having scores of followers. Among them was someone who sent it to the Indian Cyber Cell on her behalf. Thankfully, they messaged the guy about it and the accused immediately apologized to them. The apology was then forwarded to Agrawal.
However, she insisted the guy send a video apology.
The guy then went on to send an apology video, but with a mask on.
These men are literally the most scared breed of all which is why they stoop to this level to make themselves feel powerful. I am glad that an informed guy took that action and the Cyber cell took action so quickly. I am glad things are changing. This will put him in place.

When someone asked her, “What about females doing the same?”, this is how Agrawal responded to him.
Did you fight my battle for me? If ‘females’ are doing it to you why did you only think of it when I shared my story? Why do you think I owe you an answer? Did I mention you or anyone you personally know without proof and involve you into the story? Why is your bottom burning?

This is how people online reacted on reading about this disappointing harassment incident.

Technically, he’s not apologising because he did wrong. He’s apologising because he got caught. But I’m so glad you did this. It sends a clear message out.

Please unmask him and report him. It is important that he gets the taste of the law and for the safety of our kids and friends. People should be taught the consequences of their actions.

Ask for the contact details of the man’s female relatives and forward the video to them
A person needs to know how harassment feels

A lot of girls has to go through such things! All we can do is report and block, yet I’m super glad you took this step! ❤️

I’m glad the Cyber cell took him to task.
It’s not an official govt authorised page but they seem to be doing a good job.You can also file an official complain online at https://t.co/l9EGiH5Ft7
It’s then forwarded to local police station and also monitored by them@Cyberdost— Jeet Mashru (@mashrujeet) December 7, 2021
As part of the process, both his videos should be sent to his parents, friends, coworkers and his boss.
That way, we can be sure that he really feels sorry.— Neeraj Sharma (@NeerajS66373657) December 8, 2021
I don’t understand how people get so much time to plan this nonsense? Hope the authorities take proactive measures, like in this case, to put this to an end.
