Are you angry?
It cannot be all rainbows and unicorns all the time, you agree right? Sometimes people get on your nerves and all you feel like doing is crying your eyes until consciousness looses you. But sometimes things get too out of hand and rage takes over and an anger like that can become a habit. Do you often get so irritated by everything around to the point that you want to destroy anything that comes in your way like the great, green, bulky Hulk? If yes, what you need is some serious anger management.
Here are a few interesting ways in which you can come over your dissent with the world with the least harm done.
1. Do a ridiculous dance whenever you feel like punching someone in the face to get rid of the physical aggression.
2. Walk over to a window to get some sunshine to fill your mind with positivity.
3. Thank yourself every time you restrain yourself from having a go at someone.
4. Watch a stand-up show on YouTube and laugh instead of yelling.
5. Wear a rubber band on your wrist and snap it every time you feel like slapping someone.
6. Take a run in the opposite direction of the object of irk to stop yourself from putting his/her head through a wall.
7. Engage your brain in counting sheep, or whatever you want, to distract it from giving orders to your mouth to blab out curses.
8. Stage a fight in your imagination and don’t reenact it reality.
9. Resort to sarcasm. Your anger will find a way out and everybody will have a kick out of it.
10. Plan a conversation beforehand so that you don’t let the other person say anything stupid.
11. Try out some memory loss tricks so that you don’t get angry by remembering something that made you angry earlier.
12. Anger and hunger don’t mix well. Eat something sweet every time you feel bitter.
13. Create a ‘calm down’ box and write out everything that makes you angry on chits to put in that box.
14. Breathe in instead of becoming a fire spitting dragon.
15. Lower the temperature if the room is hot, increase if it’s cold. Physical comfort will make you more agreeable.
16. Look into a mirror when you’re angry. I’m sure you wouldn’t want other people to see your angry face once you know what it can make you feel.
