Do you remember how we used to dress back in college? Well, considering that I used to wake up just 30 minutes before my time to leave the house, I used to throw a random t-shirt or kurta and any pair of pants that were lying inside the cupboard. And I’m sure it was the same for many others as barely anyone showed up spick and span!
Which is why it was surprising when PM Modi went to IIT Kanpur on a “surprise visit” and found most of the students dressed in colour coordinated traditional attire.
A video of the incident went viral on Twitter. Have a look:
In his trademark style, PM @narendramodi paid a surprise visit to another block of IIT Kanpur to interact with students who were not a part of the convocation & the students were absolutely thrilled with a one-on-one interaction with him!! #ModiMagic#ModiInKanpur pic.twitter.com/kIffGrbWWp

In the video, the students are seen dressed in sarees and kurta-pajamas and standing in the auditorium as the Prime Minister interacted with them. However, people online had one important question – which college student dresses up in such attire every day? Clearly, this wasn’t a surprise visit, they said!
In which IT campus do you see students wearing these dresses daily? “Surprise Visit” 🤣🙃😁 You take blarney to new heights every time!

Never knew IIT kanpur till 2021 has a strict single color dress code for students where girls would require to wear a sari and boys would be wearing kurta and a tight churidaar pajama! Outdated seriously! @IITKanpur pic.twitter.com/1thkFexGjz

Thank god, it was a surprise visit, still all students dressed in colour co-oridinated partywear attire..
Had he visited with prior information, don’t know what kind of attire the students would have donning..

The attire of the students definitely suggests that it was a surprise visit. Nation believes you.

They all seem to be dressed for the occasion. None looks surprised. What sorcery is this?

Are you telling me that the IIT Kanpur guys take bath every day, wear anything other than pajama/ shorts and tshirts, comb their hair properly and sit solemnly in their auditorium in a regular day!!! And Modi is the PM in that instance of the multi verse!!! Ajeeb!!!

Yes sure because the students always dresses in matching kurtas and color cordinated scarfs everyday in an engineering college.
