‘Guilty’, that’s what I felt when I took a leave from the office for no particular reason. However, even though I knew a short break would rejuvenate me and help me focus better, I ended up feeling like a horrible person when I took some time off for my ‘me time’. From missing an appointment to canceling a meeting, people often tend to stress over everyday things.
Speaking of which, I recently stumbled upon a tweet that reminded me that it’s okay to choose your mental well-being over everything else. In the tweet shared by industrialist Harsh Goenka, he highlights how we should never compromise our peace of mind for anything, reports India Today. Sometimes all we need to do is sit back and relax.
Have a look at his tweet:
It’s OK to cancel an appointment.
It’s OK to not reply to that call.
It’s OK to change your mind.
It’s OK to want to be alone.
It’s OK to take a holiday.
It’s OK to do nothing.
It’s OK to just chill.
It’s OK to stay OK.#ThursdayThoughts— Harsh Goenka (@hvgoenka) August 13, 2020
Several people added to the list of things that we should be okay with and not stress about:

Everything you do is wrong…to someone.
Everything you say is wrong…to someone.
Everything you believe is wrong…to someone. If your goal in life is to be "right" in the eyes of other people, you'll always think you're failing, or you'll always change what you stand for.

Well, our mental health should always be our priority. So, it’s important that we stop being harsh on ourselves and instead focus on our inner peace.
