Actor Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel has always remained in the limelight, sometimes for sharing her life-story and often for giving controversial statements. Rangoli is again making headlines, but this time with her absence from a popular micro-blogging site.
Recently, her official Twitter handle was suspended after several people, including many celebrities reported her controversial tweets on several issues, reports NDTV.

According to the Times of India, her account was suspended after she spoke her mind regarding the Moradabad stone-pelting incident in which healthcare workers were attacked by locals. Her tweet was allegedly filled with hate speech and targetted a specific community. Hence, it irked people and sparked outrage online.
Filmmaker and ‘Gold’ director Reema Kagti was the first one who had tagged the Mumbai Police on her tweet, urging them to take actions against Rangoli for inciting hatred and violence.
@MumbaiPolice. Could you please look into this and take action? Isn’t this spreading fake news AND inciting hatred & violence against certain people?@OfficeofUT @AUThackeray https://t.co/tKCqS5CZgN

Soon, actor Kubra Sait also reposted Reema’s tweet and said that she’s blocked and reported Rangoli for allegedly spreading hate.
I’ve blocked Rangoli and reported her to twitter.
But @MumbaiPolice @CMOMaharashtra @OfficeofUT This kind of hate mongering is irresponsible. Please look into it, and take necessary actions. https://t.co/WywccuZvKR— Kubbra Sait (@KubbraSait) April 16, 2020
Sussanne Khan’s sister and designer Farah Khan also shared that she had also reported Rangoli’s account after she threatened Farah and spoke against her community.
Thank you @Twitter @TwitterIndia @jack for suspending this account. I reported this because she targeted a specific community and called for them to be shot along with liberal media and compared herself to the Nazis. 🙏🙏🙏 . pic.twitter.com/lJ3u6btyOm

However, Rangoli was quick to respond and shared in a statement that Twitter is absolutely biased and she won’t be reviving her account, said a report by The Economic Times.
“Twitter is an American platform absolutely biased and anti-India, you can make fun of Hindu Gods, call Prime Minister and Home Minister terrorists, but if you say anything about people pelting stones on health workers and police forces they suspend your account.”
“I have no desire of empowering any such platforms with my perspective and honest opinions, so I am not reviving my account”
“I was my sister’s spokesperson now watch out for her direct interviews, she is a huge star she has many ways of reaching out, a biased platform can be easily avoided.”
People online thanked Twitter for suspending her account for hateful posts.
Thanks @Twitter @verified @TwitterIndia for suspending #RangoliChandel account -we can do with a lot less hate in India and I hope this serves as a lesson for others too

Great job, Farah ! Thank you @TwitterIndia

Suspension is not enough. She should be arrested. I read some of the tweets, she lost control. Its ok to be a BJP supporter, Hindu supremacist, Muslim hater her choice, but there is a limit to what you say in public. These celebs should be taught a lesson.

Thankyou @TwitterIndia for suspending Rangoli Chandel's account.
Spitting poison since long time. .. especially in country like India where religious topic is the most sensitive and could rage fire in country. ..#RangoliChandel khaali dimaag shaitan ka ghar.— Babumopsy (@Babumopsy420) April 16, 2020
Some people, however, thought this was unfair:
This is wrong to suspend #RangoliChandel. If her tweet is communal then @TwitterIndia should suspend all the people who spreads hatreds in social media.

Shame on @twitter @TwitterIndia @jack on this biased unfair treatment to #RangoliChandel .. there are so many vile journalists, so called famous people spread so much hatred and still are up and thriving.. but it is satisfying to know how afraid these libtards are of the RW 😈

However, according to Hindustan Times, Rangoli had earlier tweeted that Twitter had given her warnings about her posts.
“If they suspend my account will open my own YouTube channel where I will make Kangana’s small videos saying what is there for everyone to see, we never said anything without evidence. If twitter’s going to harass us we don’t want to be here just wishing good morning and good evening.” (sic)
What do you think of her suspension? Tell us in the comments.
