Shashi Tharoor’s Twitter feed has become the go-to place for vocabulary enthusiasts to come across new and unique words. Having gotten a taste for words like troglodytes, farrago and webaqoof, people wanted more from the maestro. Tharoor on his part took note of the general public’s plight of having to reach for a dictionary almost every time he tweeted.
This, in turn, gave us a couple of mini master classes from the man of many words. His tweet about moledro, with its definition, was a special one for all bibliophiles. And his next one, lalochezia, has taken up the position as my all time favourite. So much so, that like many I wished these masterclasses could be a recurring treat.
Looks like the vocabulary Gods have heard our prayers. Tharoor just tweeted a new one and it’s very relevant to recent events.
His last few words have shown a recent pattern of mixing a tinge of humour and satire into the process. And the new one ‘Roorback’ is no different.
I've had to put up with a lot of roorbacks in the last few years! pic.twitter.com/WeBl865R81
