Every cricket lover knows the trademark lines their favorite commentators use. And just like them, Narendra Modi also seems like a hardcore cricket lover.
He proved this fact when he gave an epic reply to Ravi Shastri on Twitter yesterday that made cricket and Modi fans go crazy.
Ravi Shastri congratulated Narendra Modi on BJP’s sweeping victory in Uttar Pradesh. Now, the tweet was not a normal congratulatory tweet. He congratulated using his trademark commentary style with his fav cliché – ‘tracer bullet’.
Congratulations @BJP4India on the landslide win in UP. The pair of PM @narendramodi & @AmitShah went past 300-mark like a #TracerBullet
— Ravi Shastri (@RaviShastriOfc) March 16, 2017
Also, for a cricket enthusiast, it is clear that he likened the pair of Modi and Amit Shah to a batting pair with a partnership that went beyond 300 runs.
If you thought that was impressive, Narendra Modi thanked Ravi Shastri with a tweet Ravi Shastri would recognize anywhere. Since it had the clichés he uses all the time!
Thank you. UP polls did not quite go down to the wire. But, at the end of the day democracy is indeed the real winner! 🙂 https://t.co/suoTqZtXit

The tweet consisted of the classic Ravi Shastri catch phrases like – “did not go down to the wire.” and “cricket is the real winner!”
And understandably, people on Twitter were impressed!
1. People noticed that the clichés were indeed Ravi Shastri’s

5. Yes, replying to other people makes Modi more engaging.
@narendramodi quite happy that you have started replying / commenting on tweets. Loved that reply to @RaviShastriOfc LOL
