Man With 153 Autographs From MS Dhoni Wants To Collect 183 As That’s Mahi’s ODI Best

A while ago, cricketer MS Dhoni took a sabbatical from the sport and served in the 106 TA Battalion (Para) of the Indian Army. But Mahi fans are not even thinking of his retirement and are hopeful that he’ll play the World Twenty20 Cup next year.

In the past, we’ve seen ‘Captain Cool’ playfully running away from his fans who trespassed security to meet him and also go out of his way to arrange match tickets for Chacha Chicago. Now, he’s fulfilling one of his admirer’s somewhat unique wish.

According to The Economic Times, 22-year-old Pranav Jain from Bengaluru idolizes Mahendra Singh Dhoni and wants to collect 183 autographs of his favourite player to represent his ODI best of 183* runs in 2005 against Sri Lanka.

Pranav has already collected 153 autographs on gloves, bats, posters etc and has informed Mahi of his “mission”. India Today quoted the fan who is currently in Kolkata to meet Dhoni after his commercial shoot saying,

“Mahi bhai has promised me 183 autographs but with a rider. He has told me ‘Jis din tera 183 complete hoga, tujhe aur koi autograph nahi milega’. I am planning to get 10 autographs today and it will be 163.”

We hope that Pranav completes his mission and we get to enjoy Mahi’s helicopter shots and lightning-fast wicket-keeping next year.
