We have many memories from our childhood but these comics were one of the sweetest and most important. Reading these, Â learning from these, selecting favourite characters from these, enacting these favourite characters and if need be, trading these comics was quite important for us as children. Here is a list of 13 Indian comics that made our childhood awesome:
1. Amar Chitra Katha
The books from Amar Chitra Katha series were not only enlightening when it came to history lessons, but also played a huge part in shaping us our personalities.
2. Tinkle
Suppandi, Shikari Shambu and Tantri the Mantri were are most favourite characters from Tinkle, and if given the time we would still read it all over again.
3. Champak
Animals talking and teaching us life lessons through Champak was not only something that we liked, but our parents approved of as well.
4. Chacha Chaudhary
The adventures of Chacha Chaudhary, his dog Rocket, and his ever faithful friend from Jupiter, Sabu was always a favourite for everybody.
5. Nagraj
Nagraj, one of the many superheroes from Indian comics was famous for not only his endless superpowers, but also his abilities to control all snakes.
6. Panchatantra
We had often heard the stories of Panchatantra from our parents and grandparents, but reading them was a completely different and fantastic experience.
7. Doga
Doga became famous among us for not only being the vigilante who believed in uprooting the problem, but also and mostly because of his innovative dog mask.
8. Super Commando Dhruva
The crime fighter of Rajnagar, Super Commando Dhruva became our favourite due to his amazing sixth sense, his astonishing detective skills and his extra ability to talk to animals and birds.
9. Parmanu
Parmanu was the the Indian version of Iron Man, got all his powers came from his super-suit was one of the best comic superhero we knew.

Bankelal comics was always fun to read because of his funny and silly actions that almost always lead him into trouble.
12. Akbar and Birbal
The witty questions and answers of Akbar and Birbal have always been a source of inspiration and entertainment for us.
13. Chandamama
Chandamama was a comics that had the best mythological stories and that we looked forward to every month.
My childhood may be over, but that doesn’t mean that playtime is.
