Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace Has Been Named The Best Hotel In The World For 2016

The Umaid Bhawan Palace Hotel in Jodhpur is not just magnificent in every aspect but is also the dream wedding destination for many people.

And Umaid Bhawan has also been named the best hotel in the world for the year 2016.

The hotel won 2015’s traveler’s choice award from TripAdvisor, a travel, and customer review website in its 14th edition from it’s 850 guests.

 

One of the most magnificent and unique parts about the Palace hotel is that it is still in parts the residence of the Maharaja of Jodhpur and his family.

The guests have access to indoor and outdoor swimming pools,  a spa and marbled-squash courts. The palace was initially meant to provide employment to local people at that time.

 

The magnificent palace/hotel has 64 bedrooms and suites including one with a private spa and the average price for a night’s stay is $734 (approx Rs 50,000).

More than 750 guests commented on it as excellent, and only 10 gave it a ‘terrible’ review (wonder how).
