Ranveer Singh’s a livewire and everyone dotes on him for that. While fans are acquainted with his crazy side on-screen and off it, his close friends vouch that he’s even crazier in person. Amid the various first-meeting-Ranveer-Singh stories, Zoya Akhtar’s is by far the best one.

On Vogue BFFs show, Zoya revealed that when she first met Ranveer 15 years ago, at a friend’s party, he walked in with an over-all checkered look. She said,

 “The first time I saw him, he walked into a party at a friend’s house and he was in a checked pair of pants, a checked shirt and a checked cap and checked sneakers. And I didn’t know who he was and I was like, ‘What are you wearing? Are you really wearing this?’…

Ranveer’s response was funnier

…and he lifted his shirt and there was sliver of his boxer shorts, that were checked and he said, ‘Check me out, babe.’ And it was love at first sight!”

Everyone knows how quirky a dresser he is. And, we can totally visualise a younger Ranveer all ‘checked’ up.

We’re pretty sure there are many revelations in store when we watch the whole episode, but for now we’re cracking up on their epic first meeting.
