There is nothing more evil than eyes watching while someone suffers.
A lot of women in our country and everywhere are subjected to harassment, be it at work, at home or a public place. There are many who watch it from the sidelines and consciously decide to do nothing. How do we remain unshaken, unconcerned to events like these? Are we really blind or just insensitive?
Twitter handle @awlinlatty, had a similar story to tell. She told her followers a story, a story that will make any woman cringe. Read along and we will discover –
1. THIS is where it starts.
Let me tell you a story about why men will never understand what it's like to be female.

2. Having a normal day.
I was just on the bus on my way to a meeting. A man taps on my knee. I’m listening to music so take my ear phones out.
— Nathalie Gordon (@awlilnatty) May 4, 2017
3. That’s not how you make conversation.
4. What anyone would do.
In that moment I instantly became worried. Again I am polite and say ‘no thank you’. I go to put my earphones back in.
— Nathalie Gordon (@awlilnatty) May 4, 2017
5. She had to apologise. WHY?
He pulls them from my hand and says ‘don’t be rude’. I say ‘Sorry’. I don’t know what to do, I don’t want to provoke him.
— Nathalie Gordon (@awlilnatty) May 4, 2017
6. Whatttt???
7. That’s NOT helping…
8. EXACTLY!
You know what I expect, fucking respect for women no matter who they are or what they look like or what they’re wearing.
— Nathalie Gordon (@awlilnatty) May 4, 2017
9. Are you listening, men?
10. Every girl in the world does!
What I expect is for men to stop thinking every woman on the planet owes them something.
— Nathalie Gordon (@awlilnatty) May 4, 2017
11. YES! Every girl.
12. No one could have said it better.
All women everywhere, deserve to feel safe. I am not the believer of the phrase ‘all men’, I believe that we as a society need to come together and help each other. If women huddle up and take down such evil perpetrators, who is to stop us? We need to work as a team to free our society from such perverts.
So dear women, if you are listening, stand up to sexual harassment. Speak up.
