After Discovering Her Online Date Is In Prison, Woman Joins School Trip To Visit Him

How far would you go for love? A TikTok user named Janet (name changed upon request) recently shared her bizarre story of how she went “above and beyond” to get a man’s attention after he ghosted her by sneaking into prison.

As per a report in Times Now, Janet revealed her story to her 408K followers of how she got along really well to a boy she met online, but was soon disappointed after he stopped replying.

She narrated, “Tell me about a time you went above and beyond, and I mean above and beyond, to get someone’s attention – I’ll go first. When I was in high school I was talking to this boy for like three months and then one day I hear nothing, like completely ghosted.”

She decided to take matters into her own hands and said, “And I’m was like, ‘no baby, this isn’t about to happen’, so I messaged all his friends and I’m like, ‘where did he go?’.”

She was shocked when they told her that they didn’t know either. She recalled, “They said the same thing surprisingly, they were like, ‘I don’t know, we haven’t heard from him in a few days’ and I was like, ‘wait a minute – Is he in jail?'”

After some super sleuthing, Janet discovered that it was true that he landed up in jail. She said, “Turns out he was, and I was in high school during this time. Like, I know I’m stupid, but I heard the law club was going to take a field trip to the local county jail.”

She hatched a plan to join her school’s law society and go on a trip to the prison, in the hope that she could find him there.

She said, “Yes, I did exactly what you’re thinking. I joined the law club, went to every single meet, participated in every single event just so at the end of the semester I could go to the local jail for on a field trip.”

She continued, “So we get to the jail and I’m ready to see my man. We get inside and they’re like alright we’re going to separate you, one group is going to go to the women’s side and the other to the mans side. I’m like no, and they put me on the women’s side.”

“I’m like, ‘no – teacher listen to me, I need to go to the man’s side – please don’t do me like this’. And she’s like, ‘why Janet, why do you need to go the mans side’. And I’m like, ‘because I just do’. And she’s like ‘first of all love we’re having all the girls go with the women because we don’t want overage men seeing younger girls’, because it was like beyond scared straight where you went on an actual tour and they actually talk to you,” she added.

“So in the end I did all of that and I didn’t even get to see him. So moral of the story, never chase a man – especially one who is in jail because you know he’s no good for you, especially when you’re in high school,” she concluded.
