24 Year-Old’s Flab-To-Fit Transformation Story Is Simply Incredible

We all love a good transformation story, don’t we? And this one is definitely one of these extremely inspiring ones that make you believe that anything can happen!

Meet Laura Micetich! She’s 25, is a health and fitness freak and looks like this:

But what if I told you that up until a couple of years ago, Laura weighed roughly 300 lbs and looked something like this:

Shocked? I know, right?

Laura Micetich weighed 300 lbs (136 kg), was plagued with several health issues like hyperthyroidism, high blood pressure and pre-diabetes, and lived a difficult life. But all that changed when she decided to have weight-loss surgery.

But for Laura to get considered for the surgery, she had to work a little on her body weight. This led her to the local gym, where she began enjoying lifting weight.. And that became the start of her incredible transformation journey!

In the first year of her gymming and healthy eating, she managed to knock off 100 lbs (45 kg). And then, her love for healthy nutrition, working out and her own body just led the way!

Check her out, a 100 lbs lighter!

“I started by going to the gym, lifting weights and eating a clean diet tailored to my body’s needs. It only took a few weeks for me to realize that I didn’t need to go under the knife. I needed to get under the bar.”

And get under the bar she did! The gym became one of her favourite places to be!

She enjoyed lifting weights, and her workout made sure that her skin did not get flabby, which usually tends to happen after major weight loss in the body.

Phew! Take a look at those muscles, will ya?

And pretty soon, Laura was unrecognisable! But you can still recognise her loyalty to her health and fitness, as she kept up with her workout sessions!

It wasn’t all gymming and weight lifting that got her this far. A healthy diet played a huge role in getting her to become her current fit self.

“I just adjusted my diet. I ate lots of clean foods and removed all starches and processed sugars. I stopped eating out. I stopped getting takeout. I stopped buying junk at the grocery store. I stopped having alcoholic drinks with friends. I stopped binging on crap. That was it.”

It wasn’t all boring diet food, mind you! There was some healthy indulgence once a while too!

You know that feeling when your old clothes feel extremely huge on your body? Laura underwent that very emotion!

It does feel exhilarating to see the proof of how much your hard work has paid off!

And finally, today, Laura Micetich is a whole new person; healthier, fitter, and more confident! Not to mention a total knockout!

Currently, Laura weigh somewhere around 75-80 kg! That’s some 50 kg lighter than what she was before!

I keep a running list of things I’ve learned over the past four years, because the physical changes are so much less significant than the mental and emotional changes. So I thought I’d share some (again). You’re not as weak as you think. You’re not as ugly as you think. You’re not as fat as you think. You’re not as young or as old as you think. The things that make you weird or different are probably your greatest strengths. You can’t be perfect. You don’t need to be. It never ever hurts to be a little more patient or a little more understanding. Being kind is a lot more important than being pretty. Be gentle with your words, your feelings, and your knees. Usually, unkindness comes from a place of fear. Reserve judgement. You never know what battles people are fighting. Making someone feel small says nothing about them and everything about you. You cannot convince people to love you. The people who love you will let you know. Never settle. Wait for someone who calls or writes letters or rubs you back or says I love you when you are a mess – wait for your kind of love. It’s out there. You won’t always want to. It doesn’t matter. Show up anyway. Every single part of the story is worth remembering, not just the highlights. Almost all things are made better by a good song. Being brave always pays off. So does having integrity. Most of your “I can’t”s are excuses. Most importantly, love yourself like you want to be loved. You are worthy. You are enough. 🖤 Sincerely, L #weightlifting #health #fitness #weightlosstransformation #gym #girlswholift #fbf #flashbackfriday #instagood #fit #fitfam #weightloss #healthylifestyle #workout #beforeandafter #bodybuilding #flexfriday #fitnessfriday
