The Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, a clean India campaign spearheaded by PM Modi has received an overwhelming response from both celebrities and the general public. Most recently, our cricketing stars joined the campaign and volunteered to clean up Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata after their match against New Zealand.
The BCCI tweeted this video of Indian team skipper, Virat Kohli and the team doing their bit at the Eden Gardens Stadium for the clean India campaign.

The video went viral on social media and was covered by several news channels.
PM Modi was quick to take notice and conveyed his appreciation for the cricketer on Twitter.
Dear @imVkohli, saw your #MyCleanIndia moment on @abpnewstv. A small but powerful gesture that will surely inspire everyone.

As soon as the Indian skipper saw PM Modi’s tweet, he felt overwhelmed and gave a prompt response.
Thank you @narendramodi sir. We all are trying to make a difference for the betterment of our country. Led in an inspirational way by you.

Even after a decisive victory in the series against New Zealand, the Indian skipper and his teammates did not forget their duty towards their country and diligently worked towards cleaning up the very same pitch after the match. This gesture will go a long way to inspire millions of others to do the same.
Thanks, Team India! 🙂
