In the crazy web of day-to-day life, it’s wild how two total strangers can just click! Maybe it’s a shared joke, a common interest, or just good vibes. You bump into someone, start chatting, and boom! There’s this instant connection. It’s like finding a long-lost buddy in the randomness of the day.
This is exactly what happened to a woman named Anupriya who was travelling via a train from Delhi and felt an instant connection with another woman. She smiled at her, who smiled back. The two of them were asked to exchange seats by other strangers and somehow they ended up sitting next to each other.
Saw someone board the train from dilli that I felt I instantly connected with, & smiled at. She smiled back a very mellow smile or did not, I cannot be sure. Both of us were asked to exchange seats by people and found ourselves next to each other. (1/3) pic.twitter.com/M4a217xWpP

After talking for a while, both of them realised that they had a similar New Year’s and were in identical emotional spaces. They spoke throughout the train journey, and shared jokes and food from the same plate.
We both had a similar New Year’s & were dealing with a v similar emotional challenge. Spoke for the entirety of the 4 hr journey, shared many laughs and food from the same plate. (2/3)

They were also birthday twins. What are the chances?
Felt understood and spoke from our hearts the way one can only talk sometimes with strangers who seem familiar. Realised mid convo that we are BIRTHDAY TWINS!!!! What are the odds!? Love it when life does this.

Some people online shared similar stories of meeting complete strangers while travelling via train and becoming friends. Others just loved how amazing human connections are! Here’s how they reacted:
I boarded a Duronto from Dilli once and the girl in front of me struck up a conversation. We’re still great friends and try to meet up whenever both of us are in our mutual hometown!

Most of my friendships that have been long and abiding happened on train journeys. Grandma always taught me to share my lunchbox with fellow passengers. These days people give me strange looks if I do that.

One of my closest friends of over 20 yrs is a girl I met in Swarn Jayanti express to Jharkhand. I was half-dead of menstrual cramps when she woke me up to have food and meds. Next 27 hrs led to a lifelong sisterhood and friendship we both will now do anything for. #Trainstories https://t.co/xIoCa3Wfqr

In this big world, sometimes all it takes is a moment to connect with someone on a whole different level. 🙂
