After No One Shows Up For 6 YO’s Birthday Party, The Internet And Celebs Help Cheer Him Up!

When Ted Bollinger gave his siix-year-old son the choice to go to Disneyland, Legoland or have a birthday party with this classmates, little Teddy chose the third option. That’s how badly he wanted to have a party with all his friends. However, what followed next was something totally crazy that no one could’ve imagined!

Sil Mazzini, Teddy’s mother, invited 32 of his classmates to Peter Piper Pizza in Tucson, Arizona, for her son’s birthday party. To their utter disappointment, not a single kid showed up.

Quite upset to see her son crestfallen on his special day, she clicked a picture and sent it to a local news reporter, who put it up on Facebook.

If you get a chance please wish Teddy a Happy Birthday. His mom sent me this after his friends weren't able to make it to his birthday party.

The picture of Teddy went unexpectedly viral on social media, with birthday wishes and gifts pouring in from kind strangers who wanted to cheer up the birthday boy!

The Internet is a total mush in such instances, and many people inquired about how they could send gifts for Teddy!

Others were shocked that the kid was treated in such a way and wished he would have another party so they could come for it!

Many generous people offered to sponsore trips for little Teddy to Disneyland or wherever he wanted to go!

A few celebs also rose to the occasion, one of them being DJ Khaled, who Facetimed with Teddy to wish him!

He also told Teddy that a gift for him was on the way!

Another amazing birthday gift came from the Phoenix Suns (professional basketball team from Phoenix, Arizona)—an invitation to attend their game!

Phoenix Rising FC, a professional football club based in Arizona also extended an invitation for Teddy to get some free pizza and attend one of their games!

Lucky, lucky kid, no?

However, not everyone thought so. There were plenty of people who called out the entire thing as a gimmick to get some free gifts from gullible people on the internet and to go viral.

A point that most of them made was why any parent would embarrass their already embarrassed child further by putting a picture of him being stood up on his birthday on social media.

There were also screenshots shared of a comment by a woman, who claimed that this was a fake photo taken before the guests actually arrived for some internet fame.

The woman alleged that her niece had attended the birthday party and even gifted a $70 gift card to the birthday boy.

However, a reporter from a news channel that covered the story dismissed the woman’s claims right away.

Apparently, the owner of the pizza place where the birthday party was held confirmed that nobody showed up.

Considering all the negative comments that they’d received, Teddy’s mother Sil Mazzini revealed that in hindsight, she regrets sending the picture to the news reporter.

Teddy’s father was not too keen on her doing this, but when she saw how upset her son was, and that she was paying that huge restaurant bill for nothing, she rashly decided to do it. She told NY Post,

“Honestly, I would love to go back in time and not have sent that message. We don’t want all the attention. We didn’t do this for attention or for gifts or anything. I did it in the moment but I wasn’t smart. I was upset. That’s it.”

It sure looks like six-year-old Teddy got over the disappointment real soon. He sent a ‘Thank you’ video to all his new friends over the internet!

Teddy says thank you

UPDATE: Teddy's mom sent this video of him. He read all of your wonderful wishes How cute is he???? >>> https://bit.ly/2PmFpb6
