BAD NEWS: Donald Trump Says He Won’t Allow Foreign Workers To Take Jobs From Americans!

The United States Presidential Election 2016 result sent shockwaves across the globe. Donald J Trump successfully won the electoral vote and was declared the next President of the United States. The billionaire held controversial views about immigration and people have been worried about the future immigration policies that he might implement.

Well, our fears may have just been realised.

Donald Trump just said that he would not allow H1B visa holders to replace the domestic workforce in the United States. 

“During the campaign, I also spent time with American workers who were laid off and forced to train. The foreign workers brought in to replace them. We won’t let this happen anymore.”

Trump vowed that he would fight to ‘protect every American life.’ He received a resounding cheer for the statement.

Multinational companies Cognizant, HCL Inc and Disney World have been slapped with a federal class-action lawsuit recently for allegedly conspiring to displace American workers with cheap foreign workers, mostly hailing from India.

The workers from India usually come on H1B visas which grant them a temporary right to work in the United States in specialist roles. If such a lawsuit comes with a verdict against the companies, it would deter other companies from issuing these temporary work visas in the future.

Thus, opportunities for Indians in the United States may be greatly diminished under the Trump presidency.
