PM Trudeau Posted His Picture During A Quora Q&A As People Couldn’t Believe It Was Him

O Canada!

Apart from being their national anthem, this phrase can also be used as the best way to describe one of the most forward-thinking nations of the world. At a time when most countries of the world are moving inwards and electing conservatives, it is no shock that Canada has a liberal Prime Minister who is loved outside the nation as much as he is inside.

From showcasing kick-ass Bhangra moves and doing awesome yoga poses to taking poor kids to a movie, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau is known for being the ‘nice guy’ of world politics. A few hours ago, he held a Q&A session on Quora.

While Trudeau has a blue tick on his page, a user doubted that it is actually the PM answering to their queries and not someone from his PR team. So, he asked him to post a picture as a proof. To which, Mr Trudeau obliged with a fun caption.

“See, it’s me!!!”

Apart from answering questions related to Canada’s issues, Prime Minister Trudeau also answered some personal questions. Here are a few highlights.

1. Who knew that apart from being a leader and a boxer, Mr Trudeau would also be a bibliophile.

Question – What are your five favourite books?

Answer – I am a massive reader, have been all my life. I read anything, and everything, in huge quantities. These days most of what I read are scholarly policy works and briefing papers, so listing my favourite fiction is really tough. I guess starting with a few authors for whom I’ve read just about everything they’ve ever written: Stephen King, Neal Stephenson, and Tad Williams. Other recently read novels I’ve loved: La part de l’autre by Eric-Emmanuel Schmidt, and Ready Player One by Ernest Cline.

Other favourites:

Non-fiction: Gardens of Democracy, by Eric Liu and Nick Hanauer; Champlain’s Dream, by David Hackett Fischer

Webcomic: xkcd.com (I have a signed Randall Monroe print of “Centrifugal Force” on my office wall.)

YouTube Channel: Nerdwriter

TV Series: The Leftovers (Season 3 is finally coming!)

2. He also cleared the air on the much-awaited rematch between him and Matthew Perry.

Apparently, it’s not happening… Something about me having some very capable folks in my corner now.

But I recommend anyone who thought I was serious to recheck the date of that tweet.

Besides, I’m five years retired from my short career as a boxer, and just don’t have the time to train for another match, given my running a country now, and all…

3. He was also questioned on his leadership, and his reply was as humble as you’d expect from a Canadian.

Question – Do you have any regrets about your leadership since you’ve become Prime Minister?

Answer – My focus needs to be on doing the best job I can every day in the best possible way for Canadians. Are there things I might have done differently, in hindsight? Perhaps. But I know I’m making the best possible effort on every given decision, alongside a great team representing millions of different voices from across the country, with the best long-term interests of Canadians in mind.

Needless to say, Trudeau ruled his Quora session just like a champ!
