It’s safe to say that at this point of time, people’s faith in the Indian police is dwindling. Everyone saw the kind of abuse they spewed after capturing a Hindu girl who was seen with a Muslim boy. And then people woke up to the heart-breaking story of the alleged murder of Vivek Tiwari by the UP Police. However, that doesn’t mean that every single cop in the country is corrupt, and a Telangana constable is proof of that.
IPS officer Rema Rajeshwari, District Police Chief of Mahbubnagar in Telangana recently shared a photo of a khaki-clad man with a baby in his arms. At first you might think that it’s his kid, but the actual story is really heart-warming.
Head Constable Officer Mujeeb-ur-Rehman (of Moosapet PS) who was on duty for conducting SCTPC exam in Boys Junior College, Mahbubnagar

Rajeshwari identified the cop as Head Constable Officer Mujeeb-ur-Rehman. Apparently he was on duty while the SCTPC exam (part of police recruitment) was being held, when he came across an aspirant with this baby in her arms. Given how it’s difficult to give an exam, let alone with a baby, Mujeeb took responsibility of the toddler while the mother was away.
There’s something truly humanising about this photo and netizens recognised it and lauded the constable for doing more that what he’s required to do.
1. Of course it does.

We think that it takes a lot of effort to do something positive or win over the public. But this little moment proves that the littlest of gestures can move everyone’s hearts. So, let’s salute Mujeeb for his kindness and also hope that the baby’s mother gave an excellent exam so that she can work beside the man who helped her give the test peacefully.
