So last night, P.V. Sindhu inched into the semi-finals of the Women’s Singles Badminton category after defeating World No. 2 Wang Yihan from China. It was a fantastic and proud moment for everyone as yet another Indian is soaring high in the Rio Olympics 2016.
But, let’s go back a bit and look at what Sports Minister Vijay Goel has been up to. Mr. Goel hasn’t been in the good books for many Indian fans, because of his errors and mistakes.
Vijay Goel posted a selfie with an exhausted Vikas Krishnan, tweeted a picture of Dutee Chand while wishing Srabani Nanda, and spelled Dipa Karmakar’s name as Karmanakar.

Naturally, Goel has received a lot of flak for his ways at the Olympics, and people have also moved the Indian Olympic Committee to remove him.
In this light, comedian Tanmay Bhat tweeted out some hilarious tweets after P.V. Sindhu’s win, mocking Vijay Goel and how he gets the names wrong of athletes.
"Congratulations to JV Bandhu for impressive victory" – @VijayGoelBJP

"Congratulations to Chiranjeevi Pandu for impressive victory in the Mens Single's Lawn Tennis Event at Beijing 2012" – @VijayGoelBJP

"Congratulations to Tumhi Din Chadhe Tumhi Din Dhale Tumhi Ho Bandhu for impressive victory" – @VijayGoelBJP (h/t @Vikramg9894)

In his signature style, Bhat was successful in sending across a message that we Indians won’t tolerate such errors on the Sports Minister’s part.
