A young woman selling fruit salad on the streets of Imphal early in the morning is a common sight. But Diana Ningombam is an international Taekwondo player who has won India several medals in numerous tournaments. She sells fruits to make a living. She is currently prepping up for a championship in Hong Kong.
The youngest daughter of a mechanic father and mother who work in Ema market, Diana did not let her financial constraints take hold of her dreams. So, she decided to work and raise funds for herself to make her dreams come true.

Diana wakes up at 3 am and prepares for the entire day and sets up her stall at Kangla with the help of her elder sister. She sells fruit salad to the passersby from 4 am to 7 am daily at Rs 20 per bowl, reports News 18.
Also, after sweating it out for the entire day, in the evening, Diana trains hard for the upcoming tournaments at the sports complex in the city. She earns a profit of around 300-400 Rs from her fruit stall which she puts in her training for international tournaments, reports News 18.
A video of Diana selling fruit salad on the roadside has been making rounds on the internet. People can’t stop praising her for her determination. Many have also come forward to offer support to the young Taekwondo player.
